As the flu vaccination campaign draws to a close, demand remains strong… and supply very low, in Loiret. Some pharmacies in Loiret no longer have doses.
While the flu epidemic has not yet reached its peakmany French people want to be vaccinated, around ten days before the end of the campaign. But it is becoming more and more difficult, in the Loiret, to find doses: even if they had placed substantial orders, some pharmacies are out of stock.
To be able to meet demand, resourcefulness is the priority for the moment: “I was out of stock on Friday, but on Saturday I managed to manage to get some vaccines“, says Laëtitia Mery, pharmacist in Semoy. “It’s thanks to the network between pharmacists, there is a great brotherhood in Orléans, we manage to help out between us.”
At the start of the week, wholesalers identified the needs of pharmacies to be able to make deliveries before the end of the vaccination campaign on January 31.
