FemTech has experienced considerable growth in recent years and is profoundly transforming the way women approach their menstruation. New innovations are emerging, and these advances are helping to place gynecological health and menstrual well-being at the center of technological concerns. However, the innovations that we too often forget and yet very commonly used during menstruation are relating to hygienic protection.

They have in fact benefited from numerous improvements. Like Elia Lingerie period panties, menstrual underwear has undergone notable improvements. Although they are not new, menstrual panties now consist of more efficient materials capable of absorbing more flow while remaining comfortable, aesthetic and as respectful of the user’s skin as the planet.

At the same time, reusable collection devices, such as the menstrual cup (or cup), have also evolved. Some recent models consist of advanced antibacterial materials and can be accompanied by mobile applications which allow menstrual flow to be tracked precisely. Innovations in this area also include the use of smart fabrics and biomaterials in the field of tampons and sanitary napkins which now incorporate antimicrobial nanoparticles or new generation biodegradable materials which combine performance and respect for the environment.
