The university clinic of the Institute of scientific research from Moscow announced the start of preparation of participants in this clinical study for a drug that targets severe forms of infertility in men, such as azospemia (absence of sperm).
The drug, called “Miderig,” is an extract of human mesenchymal cells. The clinical study, which will take place in two phases and has obtained approval from the Ministry of Health, will involve patients suffering from different types of infertility. Men aged 21 to 60 can participate in this study.
In a statement published by the press service of the university, it was clarified that “before the appearance of ‘Miderig’, male patients suffering from severe forms of infertility had almost no chance of conceiving, even with modern assisted reproduction techniques.
