what to expect for the rest of winter and the beginning of spring?

The Weather Channel has put its quarterly forecasts online. Will , which is experiencing a gray and cold winter, be reconciled with the sun?

Will the winter that France is experiencing, marked by rain, cold and wind, continue in the coming months? Several departments have been placed on snow and ice vigilance in recent days. If France returns to a “normal” winter season compared to previous years (which were warmer and less rainy), the second part of winter could be milder according to the Weather Channel.

The organization has just published its forecasts for February-March-April. The temperatures forecast in France should “remain above seasonal averages (based on the last 30 years) with a difference close to +1° to +2° C”. Precipitation should become deficient in February-March, indicating a slowdown in rainy episodes thanks to more lasting anticyclonic sequences. “According to our numerical model, it seems that we are heading towards a deficit month of March and a fairly dry spring,” announces the Weather Channel. There would therefore be less rain, less snow in the mountains and mild temperatures in February. Enough to bring a smile back to a part of the country deprived of sunshine since the end of summer.

What about the bridges of May?

If these forecasts are to be taken with a grain of salt, they reveal an interesting trend for the coming weeks. “The month of March promises to be dry and mild. However, we must be attentive to the risk of late frosts due to clear nights and a flow sometimes oriented to the east,” reports the Weather Channel. April could be marked as mild and dry before a cooler and wetter sequence in May, the traditional month of bridges and long weekends.
