This Saturday, Sofia Benlemmane was referred after her police custody which began on Thursday.
This Franco-Algerian influencer had to explain comments made during videos and lives on social networks.
Indictment for “provocation to commit a crime or misdemeanor”, “death threats by image”, “public insult because of sexual orientation or gender identity” and “public insult because of origin, ethnicity, nation, race or religion”, she will be judged on March 18 in Lyon.
Sofia Benlemmane, well known for having been expelled from Ivory Coast during the last CAN after racist remarks or for her conviction for having invaded the pitch of the famous France-Algeria in 2001, will emerge free, under judicial supervision, as required by the prosecution.
Until her trial, she will be banned from using her social networks where more than 300,000 people follow her.
The investigation concerning her mainly revolved around comments made during a live on TikTok last September. She then profusely insulted another woman in Arabic, also threatening him with death: “Fuck your mother, you, and your France”, “I hope you are killed, I hope they are going to kill you”.
