Diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago, Yaël Braun-Pivet calls on women to get screened

The President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivetrevealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer be you three years ago during a routine examination, and today follow hormone therapy, calling on women to be screened.

“I am under hormone therapy and I am followed regularly by a team of caregivers who throughout this process have been tremendously committed and dedicated”she specifies.

“In 2022, in the series of good new year’s resolutions, I said to myself: “come on, I’m going now”. I made an appointment for a mammography…and it was on this occasion that my cancer was detected”she says, speaking of a “thunderclap in (his) life”.

While breast cancer is “the leading cause of cancer death among women“, “nearly one in two women do not take the screening to which they are entitled every two years”underlines the Renaissance MP for Yvelines to Ladies.

“All women must do this screening”she insists.
