DIn a press release, the DGAPR specifies that 7 infected people have recovered after being subjected to the health protocol in force, noting that the number of contaminations currently stands at 40, including 38 cases have been quarantined and two subjected to treatment at the public hospital.
As part of its communication approach, based on openness to public opinion, and keen to inform it of the evolution of the health situation within prison establishments linked to measles, the DGAPR reports 16 cases at Tangier 2 local prison, of which 15 have been quarantined and 1 is undergoing treatment at the public hospital, 9 at Mohammedia local prison and 7 at Ain Borja local prison, of which 6 were quarantined and 1 is undergoing treatment at the public hospital, specifies the same source.
According to the same source, 2 cases were also recorded at the central prison of Kénitra and at the Bourkaiz local prison in Fez, while a single case was recorded at the local prisons of Bouâarfa, El Kelaâ des Sraghna, Benslimane and Tétouan.
In addition, 5 cases were recorded among prison staff, 1 of whom was able to recover, while the others were subject to the health protocol in force.
As part of the efforts deployed by the DGAPR in partnership with the supervisory ministry to prevent the spread of this disease in prison establishments, 3,788 prisoners and 84 civil servants benefited from a voluntary vaccination operation against measles, under the supervision of medical staff reporting to the provincial delegations of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
The DGAPR also emphasized that “all prison establishments continue their mobilization in order to prevent and stem the spread of this disease, in application of the provisions of the note distributed for this purpose and in close coordination with the competent department”.
