Saint-Jory. : Jordan Birabet wants to see “his favorite club grow”

Meeting with Jordan Birabet, the brand new president of ESE Saint-Jory 1923, elected last November.

Coming from a Saint-Jory family, Jordan Birabet grew up in his favorite village (Saint-Jory), where he completed all his schooling. Her grandmother, who will soon give her name to a community hall, worked at the town hall and more particularly in schools. Passionate about football, he accompanied his father (Michel) to the stadium to watch him play on the weekend. He took his first license at the age of 6, encouraged by Jaquies Pauvreau and Michel Gisquet, who accompanied him in the higher categories.

“I found myself president of the club a bit by chance, but I like this role” he confides to us.

“ESE is my favorite club and I want to see it grow. The flagship team is playing in Departmental 4. We are in the process of rebuilding. Players like Jérémie Despons, Yohann Lancien and Yannick Boullier are at the end of their careers and should soon hang up their crampons This season, we have focused on youth by integrating young players. The coaches need to support them in their learning. maintenance. These will be revised upwards next year. The club wants to take the time to solidify its foundations and not skip ahead. I am surrounded by a united and determined management team, on whom I can count. Thank you to them for their daily dedication. I have a thought for the former players and managers of the club who made their contribution. A heartfelt thought for my friends Loic Mouynet and Xavier Manzanares, who left us too soon. . Even if the club does not aspire to compete with neighboring clubs, ESE Saint-Jory must develop in order to continue to exist. To do this, he plans to create a U6 team, the brand new president tells us, in order to give the new Saint-Joryens the chance to be able to defend the colors of their village. “We are waiting for a response from the municipality. If this project sees the light of day, we hope that our municipal subsidy will be increased to carry out this project, which is close to our hearts. We have local partners who help us throughout the season and I thank them for that Unfortunately, it is not enough, the fees requested by the authorities are high and it is difficult to cope with this, we organize lotteries, a veteran tournament. and create events with our partners in order to build loyalty”.

For its development, the club is looking for volunteers, so, if you would like to join a family club where life is good, contact Vincent Fave, secretary, on 06 99 09 37 48.
