The third National Days of Gynecology and Obstetrics of Annaba, an unmissable event dedicated to the challenges and reality of women's and children's health, opened the day before yesterday, Thursday, December 19, at the “Seybouse” hotel. International “. The event welcomed renowned experts as well as civil and military authorities. During her speech at the opening of this scientific meeting, which brought together professionals committed to the well-being and health of women, Professor Ouafa Guellati, president of the organizing committee, underlined that “this edition will highlight in light of issues of capital importance for our specialty.” She first discussed diabetes and pregnancy, a complex challenge that requires close collaboration between medical disciplines. She then addressed the elimination of cervical cancer, an ambitious goal driven by prevention and advances in medical technologies. Finally, she dealt with adenomyosis, a pathology often overlooked but essential to better diagnose and treat. For the speaker, this meeting was an opportunity for the organizers to bring together renowned experts. The latter shared their knowledge and experience through enriching conferences, disseminating the most recent scientific data in terms of promoting the health of women and children. Practical workshops were offered to delve deeper into key themes such as ultrasound, colposcopy and scientific writing. These workshops offered participants unique opportunities for development and exchange, with the aim of promoting and developing the different techniques in gynecology-obstetrics for specialists and residents. The third national days of obstetrics and gynecology in Annaba closed with debates which followed the work of the three workshops. The first workshop, moderated by Dr. Kabar, focused on “obstetric Doppler ultrasound/adnexal pathology”. The second workshop, led by Professor Adel, had the theme: “the development of a thesis project: from the idea to drafting the protocol”. The third workshop, entitled “Colposcopy”, was led by Professor Ouafa Guellati, president of the organizing committee, and Doctor Salim Dib. The president of the organizing committee wanted to thank all the participants, the sponsors as well as the laboratories who organized an exhibition in the hotel lobby. She sent special thanks to the wali of Annaba, Abdelkader Djellaoui, who was keen to attend the opening of these days in the company of the wilaya director of Health, Mohamed Nacer Damèche.
