Saint-Clar. A new dentist joins the practice

A new dentist, Dr Clément Pigeon, has just moved to Saint-Clar where he works in collaboration with Dr Virginie Sahal, who has been in the village since 2019. He studied dentistry in where he then worked, arriving in Gers in Fleurance, Gondrin and for replacements. It’s in a way a return to his roots because his two grandmothers are Gersoises originally from Saint-Puy and Blaziert. Doctor Pigeon accepts new patients and emergencies, appointments are made online on Doctolib.

The healthcare offering is evolving and expanding in Saint-Clar, as detailed by Mayor Éric Ballester.

Continuing from the Place de l’Ail dental office, the first phase of the medical center will be delivered in the first half of 2025. It will accommodate medical and paramedical assistants: 2 nursing offices, a hearing aid specialist, an osteopath, a dietitian sports coach, a midwife. A shared office will allow new professionals to also come and settle in and complete this care offer.

The second phase of this medical home will see the construction of an extension to accommodate general practitioners from the Municipal Health Center currently housed on the 1st floor of the town hall by 2027. As of January 1, 2025, 4 practitioners work there representing either 2, 8 full-time equivalent. The CMS now has more than 2,200 patients for 9,000 to 10,000 consultations per year, a real success in serving the general interest. The CMS is carried out in its management and organization alone by the town hall of Saint-Clar. In 2023, it received financial participation from 13 surrounding municipalities whose mayors and municipal councilors became aware of the interest in the area and for their citizens. “The elected officials of Saint-Clar, in collaboration with the health professionals of Saint-Clar, work tirelessly to promote our territory to recruit new salaried or self-employed doctors” concludes the Mayor.
