Cystic Fibrosis Canada is launching a fundraising campaign to help people with this disease improve their lives, including by expanding access to and reimbursement for Trikafta, but also to support research.

An illness that affects several people, including Valdorienne Roxam Gilbert. In 2019, she launched a heartfelt cry for access to the drug Trikafta.

Roxam Gilbert finally got it in 2021 and says it has greatly improved her life. For me, it was beyond my expectations. My cough has reduced significantly, my lung functions have stabilized, my treatment hours [ont été réduite] by a lot and I now have an almost normal lifeshe said.

Today, she is getting involved in the cause with the first march she organized last May in Val-d’Or.

She explains that she is looking for volunteers so that she can continue her activities and raise money for people suffering from this disease.
