Aspects “less often discussed” as “adults protected in establishments, mistreatment declared by disabled people or their sporting activities for example” are addressed by the study.
Swimming, pétanque, cycling
Concerning the sporting practice of people with disabilities, data reveal that in 2020, more than a third of disabled people aged 15 to 64 did not participate in physical or sporting activities in the last twelve months , “ which is two and a half times more than the national average. »
Furthermore, 64% of them say they have had an activity at least once a year (excluding walks, swimming and relaxation) and 43% once a week on average (excluding periods of confinement linked to the health crisis) , compared to respectively 86% and 70% of all people aged 15 to 64.
