Rabastens. Blood donation: “it counts double in December”

The French Blood Establishment (EFS) and the Enfants Cancers Santé association (ECS) are joining forces to make every donation count double. The two structures recently signed an agreement around a joint “Solidarity December” operation. The EFS undertakes between December 16 and 29 to pay €1 to the ECS association for each donor who comes to a blood drive in Occitanie. “Thus during this holiday period, each donation will count double” we tell the EFS. Locally, the collection will take place on Thursday, December 19 at the Halle from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. In the Occitanie region, no less than 1,000 donations per day are necessary to meet the needs of patients. “At the end of the year, blood reserves are often fragile and collection targets are more difficult to achieve. We want to mobilize citizens and convey a message of hope for children with cancer,” explains Laurent Bardiaux, director of the EFS Occitanie.
