Will the future private digital health record, announced by Doctolib, jeopardize My health space? This is the fear of several patient and health user associations who wanted to alert the public authorities.

Alongside France Assos Santé, several signatories such as La ligne contre le cancer, Aides or UFC que Choisir are mobilizing to support My health space and guarantee the security and transparency of patient health data.
My health space: a public, free and secure tool
To date, My health space has already been activated by one in five French people. Formerly Shared Medical Record (DMP), since 2019, it allows citizens to access and manage their electronic medical record through a free public service. Designed by the Ministry of Health and Health Insurance in close collaboration with health professionals, the tool is based on a strict legal framework to protect patient health data.
But a new private service could well overshadow it, according to France Assos Santé.
Associations alerted to the threat of Doctolib’s private digital health record
After the launch of its AI-based consultation assistant, Doctolib plans to offer a completely new section. Entitled “Health”, it would allow patients to consolidate their health information (allergies, treatments, etc.) on their account. And to receive personalized prevention advice, sometimes for a fee.
A deployment that worries patient and health user associations. Everyone wonders about the relevance of such a duplication with My health space. In particular, they express reservations on the protection of health data in a private context and on the independence of the content offered in terms of prevention.
Supported by France Assos Santé, they are calling for consultation and urging public authorities to accelerate the development of My health space to preserve a unique, public and secure digital health record for patients.
