Members of the Blauzac Dé à Coudre association offered for the first time a seamstress flea market on Sunday. Probably a good idea! In the morning, it was difficult to move between the foyer stands. “OWe like to make our own to keep costs down and for the fun of creating something unique, but supplies, like everything, have increased so much… So this flea market is a really good idea “, commented a buyer from Sommières, while another explained, unfolding a superb set of green and white crocheted layettes: “ I’m missing an accessory to brighten it up.” ; delighted, she left with crocheted cherries. “I’m thinking of sewing one on the side of the hat and one as a reminder on the coat “. Some were exchanging advice, showing each other photos of their works. The event had been going on for barely an hour, and already the question was being asked of the window dressers: “When will you do the event again?“
Cathy Rodriguez, treasurer of the association, gave an update on this first flea market: “We had very good feedback all day from the public and the exhibitors who played the game well by charging low prices. And given this success, we are already thinking about doing another market, probably outside to accommodate more exhibitors.”
