the hospital relocated to the shopping mall, “a good idea”

On a good day, nearly twenty-six people cross the threshold of the information point located in the Aushopping gallery of the Auchan hypermarket in -Sud. On bad days, there are only six of them. But everyone is attracted by this atypical initiative.

Sandra and Simon, Châtellerault. “I didn’t know that the CHU was present here but it’s a very good idea. We recently had to deal with the Poitiers hospital for a heart operation. We don’t have anything to say about the care, but on the other hand… With paid parking, I only found out at the end that we could have a card as a patient. For example, this is something that the information point could have told me… No, really, it’s good to have someone present, physically, to inform us in a world where we do everything virtually . It would be good if there was also a permanent office in Châtellerault. »

Évelyne and Robert, Poitiers. “Ah yes, it’s really essential. If I had a question about the hospital, I would come here. There is a reassuring side to having someone who can answer all our questions or who can find out information for us. »

Martine, a passing customer. “I don’t live here but I tell myself that the people of Poitevin are very lucky to have this kind of place. I had never heard of a hospital going into a shopping mall…”

Alain, Le Blanc (Indre). “I am very surprised but pleasantly so. If I had a problem or needed help, I would come. It can be good if the hospital has relay points everywhere. I find this initiative very positive. »

A lady from Nouaillé-Maupertuis. “I need ophthalmic information. I was coming out of shopping and I said to myself, I’ll stop. We place the cart nearby. We enter. It’s much simpler than going to the university hospital where it’s very difficult to park. There is something simple about the approach which is also reassuring. »

A person who comes from Parthenay. “I was doing my shopping, it caught my attention so I went in. One thing led to another, I took the papers for advance directives. Then, we talked about upcoming workshops and I might come in February for a workshop that looks good… Finally, it’s a place that will count from now on, that’s for sure. »

For the moment, the Poitiers University Hospital has no plans to deploy other information points in the region. Solely to develop the workshops and activities offered.
