The Carrétou de la santé stopped off in

In the rural areas of the Grands Causses, where mobility remains a major challenge, the Grands Causse Regional Natural Park is innovating with the Carrétou de la Santé. This experimental system aims to break geographical and social isolation while promoting more sober and inclusive mobility, in the service of health.

The Carrétou de la Santé is part of a “reverse mobility” approach (going towards residents), making it possible to bring prevention, screening and care services closer to isolated populations. Concretely, a itinerant vehicle travels throughout the territory to offer a wide range of services. The Carrétou thus plays a dual role: that of a tool for social cohesion through collective actions for prevention, screening and health promotion, and that of an access truck to care, with a space dedicated to support. to mobility. This Friday, October 29, the vehicle stopped in on the weekly market.

A first experimental tour for the Carrétou de la Santé

Around twenty partners have joined this innovative project, with the aim of organizing two tours per month. The Carrétou is structured as follows: a monthly tour dedicated to individual prevention, including personalized interviews and health checks (seniors, dependency, check-ups, etc.) Another monthly tour focused on collective prevention, with group workshops on themes varied such as physical activity, diet, mental health and well-being

In November 2024, the tour was focused on the theme of vulnerabilities among people over 60 years old. The local health contract [CLS] via the Carrétou de la Santé relies on its partnership with the Territorial Professional Health Community of South Aveyron [CPTS] to deploy the ICOPE monitor device. The ICOPE monitor project is a WHO program led by the gerontopôle in partnership with the ARS. The first step is a 30-minute interview to test your skills. [motrices, auditives, cognitives… etc.] which can be carried out by the senior themselves or a trained healthcare professional. If no worrying situation is detected, a re-evaluation is carried out after 6 months. Otherwise, treatment is organized with the attending physician.

The first tour of the Carrétou de la santé is coming to an end, opening the door to other meetings closer to residents aged 7 to 77.
