The latest Public Health Bulletin France shows France entirely invaded by bronchiolitis with 7 regions in the epidemic phase and 5 in the pre-epidemic phase. Indicators are on the rise for the flu, in town and in hospitals, and Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France and Normandy have shifted this week to the pre-epidemic phase. The situation remains stable on the Covid side but the authorities, in an urgent DGS, recall that “given the winter period, the dynamics of respiratory viruses is likely to accelerate rapidly in the coming weeks and requires preparation”.
Boost vaccination
The vaccination campaign against flu and Covid-19, which started on October 15, is struggling to take off. Data from the Ministry of Health and Access to Care shows a drop of around 10% in vaccinations compared to the same period last year. Less than a month before the end of year celebrations and their traditional gatherings, the authorities are therefore calling for the mobilization of health professionals to emphasize the importance of vaccination and the protection of vulnerable people.
The vaccine order agenda
The terms and conditions for ordering vaccines against Covid have been adapted to take into account the holiday period. The order portal will be open as usual on December 9 and 10 for delivery on D+10 on December 19 and 20.
The next session will take place from Friday December 13 to Tuesday December 17 for delivery between December 27 and 20. Pharmacists who wish will be able to order a 3-week supply, as the portal will be closed during the weeks of Christmas and New Year. It will reopen on January 6 and 7 on a usual cycle, with a resumption of deliveries scheduled for January 16 and 17, 2025.
