The AIDS years are supposed to be behind us. However, according to the Aides association, who celebrates his 40th birthday this fall in collaboration with Libé during a large gathering of conferences on November 30preconceived ideas about HIV and HIV-positive people are stubborn. In her testimony, Mariama (1), 34 years old, home help in the Paris region, recounts how she begins to regain sexuality one year after her diagnosis.
“I volunteer for an AIDS NGO, so I’m used to getting tested regularly. I am also an asylum seeker. In September 2023, I have been on French territory for a year. So I do another health check in a laboratory. This is where I discovered my HIV status.
