Organized on the theme “The patient at the heart of innovation”, this annual event is dedicated to advances in oncology to improve the quality of life and care of cancer patients.
“These scientific days represent a place for debate and exchange for health professionals, emphasizing the centrality of the patient in innovation processes. In a context where access to cutting-edge treatments remains limited for many patients, this edition reminds that the right to quality care is enshrined in the Moroccan Constitution,” the organizers indicate in a press release.
The “CoDays 2024” program promises to be rich and ambitious, bringing together experts from the United States, France, Canada, and Africa to address the major challenges of oncology. The sessions will cover varied topics, such as supportive care and treatments for the most common cancers (breast, lung, prostate, digestive system), as well as therapeutic innovations and personalized approaches. “In Morocco, oncology care is progressing, but remains faced with obstacles, particularly in terms of accessibility and cost of treatments. Certain innovative treatments, essential for improving survival rates, are not yet accessible or reimbursed, creating inequalities in care. “CoDays 2024” will provide a platform to explore modern solutions, such as telemedicine and digitalization, aimed at improving the efficiency and equity of the Moroccan health system,” adds the same source.
