The National Federation of Radiologists (FNMR) used the focus given by the IDoR to highlight its opposition to PLFSS 2025. The reduction in the number of radiology centers is brandished as a threat to the system in this context.
On the occasion of the International Day of Radiology (IDoR), which takes place each year on November 8, the National Federation of Physician Radiologists (FNMR) took the opportunity to reiterate its arguments in connection with the Project Social Security Financing Law (PLFSS) 2025.
In a press releaseshe recalled that two out of three patients who go to the emergency room benefit from a radiological examination, emphasizing the importance of a radiology structure in a territory as “a factor in the presence of general practitioners, nurses, ‘a pharmacy or other specialists’.
She also criticizes the government’s choice of “wanting to impose savings on this essential specialty for patient care” within the framework of the PLFSS. She estimates that the latter will “accelerate the reduction in the number of local radiology centers” with the consequence of “an extension of appointment times, longer and more expensive trips if they are made by medical transport… »
