why colon cancer affects increasingly younger patients?

If cancer is a multifactorial disease with a genetic part, that is to say a predisposition, there is also a very important part linked to our way of life. Chinese researchers have just made a disconcerting discovery to say the least: sugar promotes colon cancer.

These researchers realized that a consumption of fructose, which is one of the many sugars that exist, disrupts part of our immune system. Normally, our immune system is capable of detecting and attacking cancer cells except that fructose would prevent certain immune soldiers from functioning properly, thus creating a favorable environment for the development and proliferation of colon cancer. .

This fructose is found in large part in ultra-processed industrial productsthis is the case for sweetened carbonated drinks, but also in industrial cakes, candies, pastries, etc.

Does eating fruit increase the risk of cancer?

Fruits contain fructose but it has nothing to do with that of Coke. For example, the apple is made up of more than 90% water and yet it is hard. It is linked to the fibers which are present in fruits and which will attenuate the effect of fructose and which will protect yourself from colorectal cancer. So, if you eat five fruits and vegetables, you will reduce the risk of colon cancer by 15%.

In short, we must go on the hunt for industrial sugar because overweight and obesity are risk factors for many cancers, including colon cancer. However, a diet that is too sugary leads to weight gain which in turn causes inflammation which promotes cancer.

The government wants to reform the soda tax, why not but it is important that people do not buy Coke even if it is free. It is better to inform and educate rather than tax.
