health screening for residents

At the invitation of the municipality, Thursday November 7, 2024, at Espace Jean-Claude-Deret, the CPTS La Salamandre (Territorial Professional Health Community) came to do a health screening for people over 60 years old.

The CPTS is a multi-professional organization formed on the initiative of independent professionals (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, speech therapists, etc.) and which can involve other health actors depending on the projects carried out. The CPTS project responds to one or more needs of the population and health professionals, in order to better structure health pathways across a territory and respond to other issues such as access to care, the conditions of practice of professionals…

For this screening, to which around sixty people underwent, the participants applied the Icope program, set up by the WHO (World Health Organization), which targets six abilities: mobility, memory, nutrition, mood, sight and hearing. Screening was carried out using a questionnaire to be completed, which allowed discussion with health professionals.

If a problem is detected, actions can be put in place (referral to a specialist, etc.). The screening carried out is only a first step which aims to detect health problems as early as possible, and treat them, so as to delay dependence as long as possible.
