Tobacco-free month: Irfane, 23, has smoked since the age of 15, ‘From day to day this little thing kills me’

November is the month during which the tobacco-free month challenge is launched. Thousands of people do it every year. Irfane, 23, is a young smoker and has decided to take advantage of this month to quit smoking.

This year is the 9th edition of No Tobacco Month, a collective national challenge which invites all smokers to spend 30 days without smoking, beginning on November 1st. If Irfane decided to do it, it was for several reasons. “The health of myself and the people around us because smoking next to someone who doesn’t smoke always remains harmful for the non-smoker.”

He started smoking at the age of 15.to be interesting to the grown-ups, but frankly I regret it because day by day this little thing is killing me.”

For him “each person is different and we need to talk about their journey”.

He wants to send a message to people who smoke:

“For all the young people who will see this message I know that everyone says it but don’t smoke you will have diseases whether it’s puff, cigarette. I speak for myself, first of all I know that it It’s hard to stop because I couldn’t stop because I’m in trouble. Many people have told me that stopping is easy, but easier said than done. Your brain. is used to this, but you can still change this habit and you should never tell yourself that it’s too late, nothing is impossible. The best thing is to think of something else. for example: Go eat with your family or do activities.”

“Cigarettes suppress the appetite for some and for others it doesn’t do anything but it’s still not good. Also if you don’t have any activity, go for a walk or drink fresh water, you you will see the change in a few days you will have difficulty but you have to hold on, every path is not easy but with the will you will get there.
