For the 9th edition of Month Without Tobacco, Tab’agir and the addictions France association are launching an action program to encourage smokers to stop their consumption.
Cigarettes cause one in eight deaths in France. Since 2016, No Tobacco Month has aimed to encourage people to reduce or even stop cigarette consumption by inviting smokers to stop smoking during the month of November.
Raise awareness and support
Associations like Tab’agir and Association addiction France aim to raise awareness and support smokers in their process of quitting. Tab’agir offers actions with professionals trained in tobacco science.

Tobacco-Free Month meetings in Nièvre
To mark No Tobacco Month, several actions are organized in Nièvre. On November 12, the Addiction France association is preparing an awareness day at its premises in Nevers. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., volunteers will man an information stand where smokers can measure their carbon monoxide levels, fill out a questionnaire and have a personalized assessment and a scent workshop.
Tab’agir is organizing two actions in the ducal city. November 18 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at URSSAF and November 21 at the Hospital Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers will be in direct contact with people and will run an awareness stand with a CO tester to measure carbon monoxide levels. They will conduct individual interviews on consumption and related risks. “We place a lot of emphasis on discussion and listening without blaming smokers,” explains Tab’Agir.
