Wednesday October 30, Julien Bazus, Mayor of Saint-Paul-lès-Dax, Sébastien Ducasse, deputy mayor in charge of culture and heritage, Emmanuelle Maillet, architectural advisor at the DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Claude Laroche, researcher in the heritage and inventory service of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and Alexandra Lux, world coastal rescue champion in 2010, unveiled the plaque of the “Remarkable Contemporary Architecture” (ACR) label, awarded last May to the municipal swimming pool by the regional heritage and architecture commission. This is a great enhancement of the advantages of this equipment since only 12 Tournesol swimming pools benefit from this ACR label in France. To find out more: https://www.patrimoine-nouvelle-aquitaine.fr/Default/les-piscines-tournesol-en-nouvelle-aquitaine.aspx The next step hoped for by the city is the protection of the swimming pool under the Historical Monuments. Voted unanimously by elected officials during one of the last municipal council meetings, this would be a first in France.
