Several Lanaudière municipalities rewarded for their water management

The towns of L’Assomption and Crabtree as well as the Terrebonne-Mascouche Water Sanitation Authority (RAETM) received awards during the 46th edition of the Water Management Symposium.

The municipality of Crabtree received phase 2-3 star recognition as part of the Municipalité Écon’eau excellence program which supports municipalities in their efforts to reduce water consumption.

The same program also allowed the City of L’Assomption to receive a phase 2-1 star certification.

The municipality of L’Assomption was also awarded by the Program of Excellence in Drinking Water — Treatment (PEXEP-T) with a 3-5 star phase certification.

This program aims to ensure maximum protection against any microbiological contamination during water treatment.

Finally, the Wastewater Excellence Program – Water Resources Recovery Station for Aerated Ponds (PEX-StaRRE-EA) allowed the Terrebonne-Mascouche Water Sanitation Authority (RAETM) to receive a 2-3 star phase certification.
