“The objective is to recover a ton of radios to convert them into a donation of 1,000 euros” Frédérique Lahire, director

« The resource center also supports caregivers of people with cancer » says Frédérique Lahire, director of the Épernay clinic. To help these two structures, it was decided to collect silver radios throughout the month of October. A large black recycling bin has been installed in the clinic hall to recycle these x-rays. “ The objective is to collect a ton of radios to convert them into a donation of 1 000 euros “, adds Ms. Lahire, “ we have already collected 500 kg. It’s off to a good start! »

The actions don’t stop there. Still in the hall, promotional items are also sold. The funds raised will be donated to the association Ensemble, pour femmes. “ Volunteers from the association also came to present their philosophy which is to support women who have undergone breast cancer surgery whose post-treatment is difficult. They also, with the healthcare teams, distributed heart-shaped cushions to patients. Cushions which were offered to us by the staff of the Neptune swimming pool at Vertus “, explains Ms. Lahire.

Furthermore, to raise awareness among the nursing staff, a meal was offered to them and two self-examination sessions were offered to them by Dr. Emma Ciuta, gynecologist at the clinic. “ All staff also wear the pink bow that was provided with the pay slips for the month of September » specifies the director.
