Capdenac-Gare. A first successful intergenerational “blue march”

The “blue march”, organized Thursday October 3 by the Pays Capdenacois residence in partnership with the municipality of Capdenac-Gare, was a great success for its first edition. Despite uncertain weather, this intergenerational initiative, part of the “blue week”, brought together a wide range of participants, from the youngest to the elderly. “The participation was satisfactory for a first edition, which encourages us to repeat the experience,” explains Stéphanie Ville, host at the residence and in charge of the event. Three courses suitable for different fitness levels were offered, ranging from 400 meters to 3 kilometers. “The three circuits worked very well, everyone found what they wanted, from the shortest to the square, to the longest to Saint-Julien,” she adds. The main objective of this walk was in fact to bring together different generations to share a moment of conviviality and physical activity, in accordance with the theme of the “blue week”: moving together… to keep the flame alive! The highlight of this day was undoubtedly the group gym session, where children, adults and the elderly came together for a movement session to music. “The residents really liked the walk, but the real highlight was this intergenerational moment,” emphasizes Stéphanie Ville. She also specifies that the success of this event would not have been possible without the valuable support of local partners, such as the social and cultural office, the Pierre Riols and Voltaire educational establishments, as well as associations such as Capdenac rando 12 “The proposal for the walk was very well received by our partners, and everyone responded to the preparation meetings,” says the facilitator.
