The Ministry of Health announced, in a press release published Wednesday, the extension of the functionalities of the national vaccination portal “Evax” from Thursday October 17, 2024.
This expansion now includes routine vaccinations for children as well as seasonal vaccinations, such as against influenza, available at basic health centers, pharmacies and from doctors in the private sector.
The ministry invites citizens to register on the Evax portal: http://www.evax.tn. to track their vaccination appointments, according to the release.
In addition, an awareness video for parents was published to encourage them to register their children on the portal. The latter will make it possible to follow the vaccination schedule and obtain a “digital health record” similar to the paper vaccination record.
It is also specified that the national vaccination campaign against seasonal flu will begin on October 17, 2024. According to Riadh Daghfous, director general of the National Pharmacovigilance Center and head of the scientific vaccination committee, around 300,000 doses of flu vaccine have been acquired and will be distributed between basic health centers and private pharmacies.
