As autumn approaches, Vivalis, the administration in charge of health and social welfare in Brussels, is launching its flu vaccination campaign.
Vaccination against Covid-19 is already possible, while vaccination against the flu will begin on October 15. This dual campaign is crucial to reduce serious complications and hospitalizations linked to these respiratory diseases. In total, 300,000 Brussels residents are affected by this vaccination.
The main objective of this campaign is to offer the best possible protection for the most vulnerable as autumn and winter approach. It also aims to relieve the health care system, which is always very busy in winter, where respiratory infections circulate strongly, resulting in an increase in risks for the health of the people concerned. To discuss this subject, Nathalie Noël, manager of Vivalis Brussels, was present in Bonjour Bruxelles on BX1.
