a veterinarian committed to serving the most deprived and their animals ⋆ Savoir Animal

In a world where insecurity is gaining ground, certain heroes act in the shadows to help not only the most deprived people, but also their four-legged companions. Doctor Thierry Bedossa, renowned veterinarian and founder of the AVA association (Agir pour la vie Animale), is the perfect example. For years, Doctor Bedossa has worked to offer a dignified life to the animals of people in difficulty, while highlighting the vital bond that unites them to their owners..

For many people in very precarious situations, the pet is much more than a simple companion. It is a real emotional pillar, which, in addition to providing them with unfailing companionship, is often their only emotional support. Aware of this reality and the importance of animals for the most deprived, Doctor Thierry Bedossa chose to work in their favor.

“The animal is often the last link that connects these people to a normal life and to society,” explains Dr. Bedossa. “By helping them take care of their companion, we help them maintain hope and dignity. »

Aware of the importance of animals for the most deprived people, Doctor Thierry Bedossa works daily for them.

So, when life becomes too complicated for animal owners (hospitalizations, death of the owner, loss of a job, search for accommodation, etc.), Doctor Thierry Bedossa, through the association AVA- Agir pour la vie Animale of which he is the founder, offers temporary or permanent accommodation solutions for these animals. This service, often neglected, allows people in difficulty to concentrate on their own problems without having the fear of abandoning or seeing their animal which is so dear to them suffer.

Recently, Doctor Thierry Bedossa, through his association AVA- Agir pour la vieanimale, also set up a solidarity aid program aimed at financing veterinary procedures in emergency situations: AVA CARE. In a context of inflation making pet ownership increasingly difficult and expensive, AVA CARE provides financial assistance to all pet owners facing an emergency situation. To date, and thanks to AVA CARE, more than 25 animals, from poor owners or not, have been saved from certain euthanasia.

Furthermore, continuing this desire to help the most deprived people care for their animals, despite inflation, Doctor Thierry Bedossa is committed, within these veterinary clinics, not to increase his prices in order to facilitate, as best as possible, access to care.

Through the association AVA- Acting for animal life of which Doctor Thierry Bedossa is founder, the latter is setting up of the programmes of mediation animals. These programs aim to raise awareness of the importance of the bond between animals and the most deprived people. These initiatives, led in part by Thierry himself, aim to demonstrate the therapeutic and psychological benefits that animals can bring to vulnerable populations, such as people in social reintegration, in social difficulty, in a situation of disability and/or in need. loss of autonomy. Thanks to these programs, AVA animals, most of whom have difficult histories themselves, interact regularly with these vulnerable people, offering them emotional support, a source of comfort and, sometimes, an anchor. in their journey of social reintegration.

These initiatives are part of a desire to prove that animals are not only companions, but also key players in the healing and rehabilitation process of individuals in precarious situations.

The work of Doctor Thierry Bedossa is not limited to classic veterinary practice. It is part of a humanist approach, where the animal at its center is seen as a vector of stability and dignity for humans. The actions undertaken by Doctor Bedossa, whether within the AVA (Agir pour la vie Animale) shelter or the veterinary clinics of which he is the founder, highlight the importance of preserving this unique and precious relationship between animal and its master, and even more so in the most difficult situations of life.

Faced with growing inflation today, in as in Europe, precariousness continues to affect new people. However, as the commitment of Doctor Thierry Bedossa demonstrates, solidarity between humans and animals knows no boundaries.

By helping each individual preserve this fundamental bond, Doctor Thierry Bedossa reminds us that compassion must be at the heart of our society, for all its members, humans and animals alike.
