Burn-out, often described as one of the modern scourges, will be at the center of the 11th edition of the Saujon Psychiatric Days.

According to Sud-Ouest, organized by the city’s thermal baths, this awareness day, which will take place on October 25, will highlight this professional burnout, described by experts as a direct consequence of chronic stress at work. According to the definition of the organizers, it is “professional burnout resulting from chronic stress in the context of work gradually developing in certain people exposed to working conditions experienced as frustrating and demotivating. »

The conference, free and open to all, will begin at 7 p.m. in the La Salicorne room and will be followed by a paid dinner (€17.50 for adults, €12 for children under 12).

Renowned experts on the program

Psychiatrist Olivier Dubois, director of the Saujon Thermal Baths, announces a series of leading speakers for this evening. Among them, Doctor Patrick Légeron, recognized specialist in burn-out and author of the Academy of Medicine report on this psychological disorder. Alongside him, Doctor Catherine Badinier, occupational physician at Saint-Gobain, will provide her expertise in the prevention and management of occupational risks.

Return to the crisis

This conference will also be an opportunity to address concrete cases, including a look back at the crisis that hit the operator Orange in the 2000s, marked by a series of suicides. Benoit de Saint-Aubin, former HR director of Orange, will be present to testify to the managerial transformation that followed this dark period.

Furthermore, Senator Corinne Imbert, specialist in social affairs, will intervene to provide political insight on the recognition of burn-out as an occupational illness.

A personal and supportive testimony

A former business manager, himself a victim of burnout, will share his experience and discuss the works he has written on the subject. All profits from this evening will be donated to the 60,000 Rebonds association, which supports entrepreneurs in difficulty to help them rebuild their lives after professional failure.

The Saujon thermal baths on the front line

Faced with the rise in burn-out, the Saujon Thermal Baths are positioning themselves as a care and prevention center. The establishment offers a three-week spa treatment specifically dedicated to people experiencing chronic stress. Thanks to a combination of thermal treatments, massages, relaxation and medical monitoring, patients learn to better manage their stress and find balance.

“Through the benefits of thermal water and personalized support, our patients learn to understand and control their stress to escape this state of exhaustion,” explains Olivier Dubois.
