Chlorideconomy tests are now extended to the entire Guadeloupean population.
A free test since it is 100% supported. The presence of chlordecone in the blood does not mean that you are sick according to the ARS, it is an exposure signal which should lead to action to reduce it.

This is an observation and this is what the studies showed us, fortunately. The fact of being contaminated, of having a positive level in the blood does not necessarily mean that we are sick, but nevertheless, we must protect ourselves. And therefore, to protect itself, the ARS also puts in place, when the dosage is higher than the value considered toxic, support which makes it possible to reduce or even cancel this positive level in the blood.
Contamination comes mainly from food and it is possible to remedy this. Since 2022, more than 6,500 people have been tested free of charge.
Among them, 15% are above the toxic reference value, a value set at 0.4 micrograms per liter of blood.
