The Kastell rose brought together 2,300 people in Châteaubriant

Sunday October 6 was held in Châteaubriant, in the Parc de Béré, the Kastell Rose, a sporting and charitable event bringing together running, Nordic walking and walking events, for the benefit of medical research and the fight against breast cancer.

This event was organized in partnership by the Entente Athletic Club Castelbriantais, the ADIC (Association of Entrepreneurs of the Pays de Châteaubriant), the Municipal Sports Office and the City of Châteaubriant. Associations, clubs and businesses came together to organize this solidarity event which welcomed more than 2,300 runners and walkers of all ages.

On the program, semi-urban events, open to all on circuits of 1km, 5km and 10km (races of 10km and 5km, walking and Nordic walking of 10km and 5km, and 1km children entitled “even small , I act”).

The event began with a collective warm-up to music, before the start of the first races. The aim of this event is to raise awareness of the benefits of sport, but also to unite residents and local stakeholders in Châteaubriant around the fight against breast cancer. Through this solidarity and family event, more than €26,000 was collected and given to the organizers. The funds collected will be donated to concrete actions in favor of the fight against cancer, mainly breast cancer and in the region.
