On the occasion of the national breast cancer screening awareness campaign “Pink October”, the Confluent private hospital in Nantes is organizing an information day for the general public, staff and the medical profession. Tuesday October 8, 2024.

Stands and conferences

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.several appointments are scheduled within the hospital (door 6).

“Participants will be able to find stands prevention and awareness of screening organized by breast cancer, led by partners and health professionals (dietician, oncogeneticist, psychologist, APA facilitator, socio-esthetician, etc.),” explains the hospital in a press release.

Various actors such as the Women’s Committee 44, onCOGITE, The League Against Cancer, the Regional Center for Coordination of Cancer Screening, My Health Space, My Parenthesis, Agir contre la Maladie and the Cercle Aviron de Nantes will be present.

The various speakers will provide information, among other things, on risk factors, early symptoms and hereditary predispositions and will also present the different means of preventing breast cancer (self-examination, physical activity, healthy diet, etc.).

Of the thematic conferences devoted to nutrition, oncogenetics, clinical research and patients’ rights will be organized.

Physical activities

Adapted physical activities such as Pilates, Nordic walking and multisport will also be offered. Participants can also discover moments of well-being such as a hand massage, reflexology or aromatherapy.

Entrance is free and free. Interested people can reserve their place for certain workshops by registering online.
