Nutrition for children – Prémilhat (03410)

Stéphanie Solignat, facilitator of the Relais Petite Enfance in Prémilhat and Marcillat-en-Combraille, organized training entitled “Prevention and management of eating disorders in children”.

This 21-hour training course, supervised by Safia Bara from the UFCV in Clermont-Ferrand, takes place over three Saturdays in Saint-Martinien, Montluçon and Arpheuilles-Saint-Priest.

Many questions

Eight of the ten registered childminders, representing four Relais Petite Enfance in the Montluçonnais basin and Puy-de-Dôme, participated in this first session at the Saint-Martinien social center.

Many questions arose from the start of the training. Every day, these early childhood professionals awaken the senses of little ones, to help them discover various foods and make meals attractive.

At the same time, they have the difficult task of meeting the expectations of each family, reassuring them, informing them in order to prevent the rapidly growing obesity in our country, while taking into account the dietary specificities of each child welcomed into their home.

The next two sessions will take place on Saturdays, October 12 and November 23.

Parents who wish to participate in an information meeting on toddler nutrition or other topics must contact the Relais Petite Enfance and speak to their childminder or childcare provider in order to follow specific training.

Other sessions for 2025

Other continuing training sessions could be set up from the first half of 2025, for the municipalities of Lamaids, Lignerolles, Teillet-Argenty, Prémilhat and Quinssaines.

Likewise, it is possible to participate in the next awareness workshops for babies and young children accompanied by a childminder, childcare at home.

These workshops are also offered to families (parents, grandparents, etc.). The calendar of awareness workshops is available at the itinerant RPE Abracada’Ram, located 2, chemin Saint-Pierre, in Prémilhat.
