As part of Pink October, professionals from the Arudy Multi-Professional Health Center (MSP) are organizing on Saturday 12th for the 2nd year a festive event on the theme “Detecting and preventing cancers” with different associations from the territory of the Ossau Valley, shops, schools, the Community of Communes of the Ossau Valley, the town halls of Arudy and Izeste.
This event will take place in partnership with the League against Cancer, the CPAM and the MSA (Mutuelle sociale agricole), from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Arudy MSP parking lot.
Health workshops will be offered around the following themes: self-examination, screening, physical activity, diet, smoking cessation, environmental health, zumba, relaxation, well-being, information on blood donation, etc.
Walking and running
After a complimentary coffee at 9 a.m., two activities will be offered: at 9:30 a.m., a walk for everyone, young and old in the streets of Arudy with a stop at the recycling center, the Secours Populaire, the market and the Cocotiers; 10 a.m., a 6 km race in the streets of Arudy and Izeste with a participation of 10 euros, the profits being donated to the League against Cancer. Registration is done on the Pyrénées Chrono website.
The multi-professional health center remains open during this event. Catering possible on site: Crêpes, local food truck.
