EShe is 14 years old, with the hunched back of an old man. Her name is Alice and, on Christmas Day, she will end her life, she warns, not without having left a final “gift” to those around her, in the form of a logbook: the terrible story of his hospitalization when Alice was interned, months earlier, to treat her anorexia. This “TCA” (eating disorder) in technical terms which masks the adolescent’s obsession with controlling everything, weighing everything, counting everything, all the time. And, in the hospital where she is interned, doing everything to stop eating, despite the tubes, despite the care given to her by nurses, doctors, psychologists and psychiatrists.
