For the second year in a row, the City, in partnership with the Loiret Primary Health Insurance Fund, organized two health prevention days for Stéoruellans.
The Maisons pour tous were all designated to welcome the professionals who responded favorably to the invitation, Tuesday and Wednesday. This initiative, carried out by the municipality in partnership with the CPAM, responds to the sad observation that part of the population does not seek medical care.
“In the neighborhoods, there are many people who really don’t know how to access care! », notes Véronique Desnoues, first deputy mayor in charge of health.
Exchange with professionals
For two days, no consultation but a friendly welcome and medical guidance if necessary. A wide range of pathologies were discussed: diabetes and blood pressure with pharmacists, prevention of cardiovascular diseases with a dietician, breast and cervical cancers with a gynecologist, etc. A speech therapist and a hearing aid specialist were also present. Nicole, a dental surgeon, recently stopped her professional activity, but continues to work with the CPAM health examination center and does prevention. She has therefore carried out several dental check-ups.
In total discretion, employees of the Aides association offered screenings for HIV and viral hepatitis. As for Élise and Thérèse, they represented family planning.
In two days, more than fifty people were welcomed and advised.
