La Ferté-Bernard. 1,000 people expected on Saturday for the march

For the second year in a rowthe La Ferté-Bernard leisure center will be stormed by a sea of ​​pink walkers on Saturday, during the Ferté Roses walk for the prevention of breast cancer.

The first edition, last year, was a great success with 811 walkers says Florence, one of the volunteers behind the initiative. We already have more than 850 people who have registered online and it will also be possible to register on the day until 1:30 p.m. adds Catherine. In total, we hope to attract more than 1,000 walkers.

A 5 km route around the lakes

On the big day, a village will provide information on breast cancer and participation in prevention activities. There territorial professional health community (CPTS) will thus offer an introduction to self-palpation and will remind you of the screening recommendations. A wishing tree will allow messages to be left for sick people and a demonstration of pilates, a supportive treatment launched in September, will be organized. At the same time, goodies will be sold in favor of the League Against Cancer.

Departure at 3 p.m.

At 2:30 p.m., group training and music will take place and the start of the march will be at 3 p.m. Participants will then embark on a 5 km course around the two lakes of La Ferté-Bernard. On their return, they will be able to take advantage of refreshments and explore the village until 5:30 p.m.

All profits from this day will be donated to the League Against Cancer.
