The Addiction Federation is launching a new online tool for primary care healthcare professionals. The site intervenir-addictions.fr therefore offers a wide range of supports to support general practitioners, pharmacists, occupational physicians, school doctors and other health professionals in their interventions. How to discuss substance use and addictions with a patient? In order to help general practitioners, pharmacists, occupational physicians and other primary healthcare professionals, the Addiction Federation offers the site intervenir-addictions.fr. This free tool brings together educational resources and practical guides to better understand, detect and intervene in the use of psychoactive substances, whether legal or not.
This website was designed to meet the specific needs of general practitioners, pharmacists, occupational physicians, school doctors and other health professionals faced with addiction issues, and to guide them on different aspects:
• Learn about different psychoactive substances, their effects and their use, whether legal drugs such as alcohol and tobacco, or illicit substances.
• Identify signs of problematic or risky use in their patients, using screening tools and practical advice.
• Intervene in an appropriate manner according to the patient’s situation, taking into account their specific needs and directing them towards appropriate structures or care solutions.
