Wednesday October 2, the first forum on “cancer prevention: know, act, prevent” which will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Gascogne room will mark the start of Pink October. Organized by the CCASS (communal center for social action and health) in partnership with the territorial professional health community of Toulouse west, it aims to raise awareness among the population about organized screening for breast cancer and more broadly all cancers.
Several stakeholders have mobilized to provide answers on risk factors, prevention and screening methods: the CPAM, the Solidarity House, the regional center for coordinating organized cancer screenings, community centers, the Culinary Lab, the 3D collective.
Information workshops and creative activities
For this great day dedicated to Pink October, the town of Colomiers and local associations have developed a multitude of activities open to all. Namely: a physical activity stand linked to sports and health, round tables led by a psychologist, a nutrition workshop, creative activities led by the Occitanie regional cancer screening coordination center such as t-shirt flocking. shirts or even the creation of magnets. A socio-beautician will provide advice and the primary health insurance fund of Haute-Garonne will present “my health space”, a personal and secure digital space, and will specify how to activate your account.
A webinar will also be offered from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. In the afternoon, a pink walking bus will leave the Seycheron civic center at 1:30 p.m. to reach the Gascogne room at 2:30 p.m., after passing through the town hall at around 2 p.m.

Note also that the White Pavilion will join the cause of Pink October by relocating its creative workshop for manufacturing personalized objects to the Gascogne room between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
