Consultations too late

Often, residents of these remote areas cannot consult a doctor in time. “This is one of the problems in Reunion: we have a lot of very late consultations, that is to say that people come when there are already problems like heart attacks or heart failure. There aren’t enough prevention consultations, that’s why we want to do them so that they consult as quickly as possible.”explained to our colleagues Jérôme Coré, cardiologist at La Réunion University Hospital.
