Heart surgery: new cutting-edge technology at the Millénaire clinic in

The Clinique du Millénaire offers a new treatment option for at-risk patients with mitral regurgitation who cannot undergo open-heart surgery. Only four private institutions in have this technology.

The Clinique du Millénaire (Oc Santé group), located in , offers a new treatment option for patients suffering from mitral insufficiency who cannot undergo open heart surgery: they can now benefit from transcatheter mitral valve replacement surgery.

The facility has indeed equipped itself with the TendyneTM system, which offers a less invasive surgical solution to patients. During the operation, doctors access the heart through a small incision in the chest in order to treat the MI by replacing the mitral valve with an artificial valve, without resorting to extracorporeal circulation.

Latest generation technical platform

The benefits for the patient are multiple: less recovery time, less pain and even less risk of bleeding and infection.

This cutting-edge care is possible thanks to the clinic’s specialist teams (cardiologists, interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons) and its latest-generation technical platform, like the best hospitals in the country. In France, only four private establishments, including the Clinique du Millénaire, perform this type of intervention.
