A frontal collision pitted a light vehicle against a scooter; a 40-year-old victim was taken into care.
A traffic accident occurred near Macouria in the direction of Kourou shortly after 7:30 a.m. According to initial evidence from witnesses, a motorist hit the driver of a scooter.
The latter, aged 40, is taken care of by the Macouria firefighters and their colleagues from Cayenne who came as reinforcements.
Doctors from the Kourou Emergency Medical Service are also on site to try to save the forty-year-old whose life prognosis is said to be in jeopardy.
This accident caused a significant slowdown, especially as the road was partially slippery after the light morning rain.
