It’s the kind of calamity that we think we can escape, as if misfortunes were always reserved for others. But on this day in October 2022, it fell on Maguelone Aribaud. It is written in black and white on the report of her biopsy: the Toulouse woman – then aged 48 – suffers from squamous cell carcinoma on her tongue. In other words, cancer. A real bolt from the blue in the life of this very dynamic woman, mother of two teenage girls. “If I lose my language, how will I work?”worries this outspoken salesperson, who has worked for ten years at Radio France.
