The Anjou clinic and the Angers University Hospital are among the 50 best health establishments in France according to Le Point magazine’s hospital rankings.

« With its 136 rankings of public hospitals and private clinics, the Point’s 2024 hospital rankings are the most comprehensive published to date », welcomes the magazine which worked for a year to establish its new list. Journalists and computer scientists compared the 1,400 short-stay establishments in mainland France and overseas by evaluating them based on analysis of the PMSI (Medical Information Systems Program) database. The latter contains 28 million anonymized records of patients hospitalized during the year 2022. In addition, a questionnaire was sent to all health establishments.
After this work, Le Point distinguishes two health establishments in Maine-et-Loire. The Angers University Hospital comes in 17th position among the best hospitals, and the Anjou clinic, in 8th position in its category. The latter is also at the top of the ranking for obesity surgery. The Angers University Hospital is the first for shoulder surgery.
