In the past, residents of the Maison de l’Élan in Sablé-sur-, a medical reception establishment which houses adults suffering from a stabilized psychological disability such as schizophrenia, were used to integrating into a Christmas market in the Sabolian country.

Three years ago, health professionals considered that it would be more appropriate to organize a Christmas market within the establishment, located 33, rue de la Petite-Vitesse. “Our patients are aging and sometimes, for them, going outside can be complicated in relation to their illness, confides Juliette Poirier, psychologist. And organizing it on site can also be an opportunity for the public to open the door to a structure that they don’t necessarily know. »

Throughout the year, residents, during various workshops, made the objects on display. “We will be able to find ceramic objects, door stops, pouches. We will also have a lot of items from sewing workshops, origami earrings, “SOS cookies” pots and decoration related to the end-of-year celebrations. explains Juliette Poirier.
