After the launch of the Movember solidarity operation, also called Blue November, at the beginning of November by several brands in the town of Ploërmel (Morbihan), the operation ended on Saturday November 30, 2024. The opportunity to organize the delivery of raffle prizes with a total value of €1,000 worth of prizes, at Beardy’s Bar.

This movement was officially created in 2003, in Melbourne, Australia. The goal is simple: it encourages men to wear a mustache throughout the month of November, as a sign of support for men suffering from prostate cancer and testicular cancer, which are so-called silent diseases. specifies Olivier Vagueresse, manager of the Fauteuil du Barbier salon.

Third national result

The organizers achieved the set objective, that is to say they collected €5,194 in donations for 2024, compared to €4,823 in 2023. “We can always make donations. We place ourselves on the third step of the national podium as the best donors”, underlines Olivier Vagueresse.

José Alvès, candidate for the show The best pastry chef of M6thirteenth season, created a mustache-shaped - in three hours, with local products, for first prize. This was won by Nicolas Boulé. The second prize was awarded to Cathy Clerc from (Maine-et-) and the third to Jean-Louis Mézière, from Ploërmel. All donations are donated to Movember, there are around twenty of us merchants participating in this operation.
